Our History

Founded in 2012 by Phillip Wagner, Total Moving was created to simplify the moving process and set a high standard for reliable service across the Sandy Springs, GA.

Key Milestones

A storage facility was opened. Insurance movers coverage was added. The company introduced optional packing services and began handling piano and pool table moves.

2018: Long-Distance Services

The fleet expanded to three trucks. Total Moving began taking interstate and long distance jobs. Packing materials, including cheap boxes and eco options, became available.

2020: COVID Response

Safety protocols were implemented. No staff were laid off. Contactless service and digital quotes became standard. Demand increased for 1 hour moving, last minute, and emergency services.

2021: Fleet and System Upgrades

Dispatch and scheduling software was deployed. Fuel-efficient trucks were added. The company implemented a free box return program and improved internal inventory tracking.

2022: Service Volume Increases

Completed over 8,000 total moves. Demand grew for cross town, college, and senior relocations. Total Moving began offering white glove moving and fragile item protection.

2023: Specialized Teams

Formed teams for large-object and complex moves (e.g., machinery, jacuzzi, shed disassembly). Customer support expanded to handle custom scheduling and bulk business moves.

2024: Process Focus

Stabilized operations. Completed 1,200+ moves year-to-date. Focused on three areas:
